As you have probably already figured out, GoPo is going to be more complicated than your other classes, so its going to require more attention. If you treat GoPo like you treated all your classes in eighth grade, then you will not be happy with your grade trust me it will fall quicker than you think it would.
If you're confused about something, raise your hand and ask a question. If you continue through the year not understanding something, chances are it will be on tests and essays and if you don't understand it you could lose a few points and that could really drop your grade.
Always do the homework. It's not hard, you just have to read a few pages from the packet and write notes about it. You might think the notes seem useless, but they become so helpful that you'll regret it if you didn't write them.
You have to study. Simple as that. My biggest mistake this year was I didn't think I would have to study because of how easy it was to pass tests in eighth grade. Well that's not the case for GoPo, if you don't study you will not pass the tests. Studying is the most important you can do in the class.
